My daughter has caught the knitting bug, but unfortunately her ability is behind her good intentions. However, she has just mastered purling. I told her that now a whole new world has opened up to her. We recently visited a yarn shop and purchased several hanks or skeins of various colors for some Christmas projects she has in mind. Hopefully they'll be finished in time or else a little knitting elf (or in my case a large elf) will be helping her along.
